Devotedly Discus HMA 800 tap-water filters are available with three cartridge set options. DD HMA 800 / DD HMA 800 M / DD HMA 800 MM
DD HMA 800 has a Spectrum 20“ Sediment filter and two 20” Spectrum PFBC carbon block cartridges. This option will remove Sediment, Chlorine and Chloramine (if present) from tap-water.
@ the optimal flow rate of 7.6 lpm DD HMA 800 will remove Chlorine to 760,000 litres and Chloramine (if present) to 60,000 litres.Maximum recommended flow rate is 15 lpm, please note anything over the optimal flow rate may lower the percentage of Chlorine etc removed.
If you have lead pipes in the property consider the DD HMA 800 M or DD HMA 800 MM listed in the "related products list" Property built after 1970 will not have lead water pipes.
DD HMA 800 is available with John Guest "push fit" fittings, also available with garden hose inlet and outlet Hozelock type fittings.
Please note the John Guest versions will be supplied complete with cartridges installed. An 8 meter length of tube, a ¾" female bsp to tube connector for the water source, (typically outside tap or washing machine fitting) a shut off valve, wrench and instructions.
The "hozelock" version is supplied with the cartridges installed, a wrench, the instructions, and will have the hozelock adaptor fittings added, there is no hose or shut off valve supplied with the garden hose version.
When the carbon is exhausted simply replace the cartridge set and you have in effect a brand new filter again. The quality and useful life of the Spectrum cartridges offer exceptional value for money and the very best water quality for your fish.
Carbon block filters absorb and remove contaminants, chemical based “additives” “bind” and “neutralise” – we believe removal is the best option and have used DD HMA filters ourselves since the early 1990’s.
